This is all about UOW student, Stephanie Bailey. Stephanie Bailey is 19 years old and is from Thirlmere, NSW, the third town she has lived in. She previously lived in Grafton, on the North Coast of NSW and Gympie, just north of Brisbane in Queensland.
She is currently studying Bachelor of Communication & Media Studies at the University of Wollongong.
Here is what her friends had to say about Stephanie. “Stephanie is a makeup genius, especially with your eyes!” They really care about her thoughts and opinions, and if ever they had a random question to ask, Stephanie was the worthy recipient.
She was also described as smart, quick witted, funny, caring, kind and loyal.
Others described her as very mature for her age and very knowledgeable about what goes on in the world. Also very smart, and uses a lot of common sense. Very easy to get along with, and has a great fashion sense and they rarely dislike her clothing choices.
She is also said to be quite strong, not physically but emotionally, because she always manages to stay happy and always stays positive no matter what life throws at her. She is also known to be determined to finish products and she has a passion for helping others. Stephanie is also not good for a laugh with, but a laugh at, too.
The thing she likes most about University Life is the independence that the campus gives her, she can be her own person and she is cool with that.
In her spare time, Stephanie likes to play board games, watch TV, watch movies and cook.
The one person she idolises in the journalism industry is Javier Mandanzo, because Stephanie is really passionate about photojournalism and she likes Mandanzo’s style and that he is not scared to take on the drug cartels and what not.
Stephanie chose to study Communication & Media Studies because of her own experiences she has learnt about the media and how it has a huge effect on people and she dreams to be part of that environment that tells and shapes stories in the world we live in today.
In the next 5 or so years, Ms Bailey isn’t really sure where she will be, but she hopes to have a University degree and also have reliable employment. She says she can’t really decide because, she feels she doesn’t know what will happen in that space of time, which is fair enough.
Stephanie also thinks that she may be a different person in 5 years time and finds it a hard question to answer.
Well, someday she will know what she wants to do, and whatever she is dong in about 5 years time, I’m sure it will be something that she thoroughly enjoys doing.
